365 Day Movie Challenge - #55: Tokyo Story (1953) - dir. Yasujirô Ozu
I cried so much, as I knew I would. I don’t know if anyone else in my Japanese Cinema class felt the same way, but oh, it was so beautiful. I’m not sure if I prefer Late Spring, but Tokyo Story is indeed a masterpiece. I could never say enough great things about Setsuko Hara, Kyôko Kagawa, Chishû Ryû and Haruko Sugimura.
